Parental Guidance

I saw Parental Guidance the other day and it was way funny and I would so love to see it again. It had a great cast of actors and a funny story line. 10 stars all the way.
The only complaint I have is you can tell Billy Crystal had have way to much botox.
Artie and Diane agree to look after their three grandkids when their type-A helicopter parents need to leave town for work. Problems arise when the kids' 21st-century behaviors collide with Artie and Diane's old-school methods.

Director:

Andy Fickman

Stars:

Billy Crystal, Bette Midler and Marisa Tomei

Divide remaining twos strips dough into seven pieces to create noses. Arrange eyes along straight edge of each sandwich; place nose between eyes. Brush eyes and nose with egg. Place on prepared baking sheet.

Fish and Chips

Starting with the "chips". Its actually sweet potato fries and they are good I can't stop munching on them while the fish cooks.

Peal the sweet potatoes. Cut into strips that are about 1/2 inch wide on each side.

Place the sweet potatoes into a seal able plastic bag. Add oil, salt, paprika and cinnamon. Seal the bag and shake well to thoroughly coat the fries. Spread the potatoes out onto the baking sheet in a single layer.

Cook for 30 minutes, turning every 10 minutes. Transfer immediately to a paper towel lined plate and serve warm.

Fish time.

2. Cut fish into small pieces (like fish sticks or nuggets.) Sprinkle with the seasons. Dip fish in the egg mixture Dip off any extra egg. Place in the dish of cereal and coat each side. Put on baking dish and drizzle with butter.

DJANGO UNCHAINED

Sunday I was given to honor to see DJANGO UNCHAINED. I first have to say this is not my type of movie at all but my husbands type. It had lots of blood and violence in it but I actually have to say that it wasn't that bad of a movie. I don't really want to give to much a way about this movie so go see it.

The "D" is Silent. Payback Won't Be.-DjangoStoryline:Django (Jamie Foxx) is a slave living in the Deep South after having been separated from his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington). When Django is held for a slave auction, Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz), a German bounty hunter who uses his former profession as a dentist as a cover, frees Django from his vicious masters, the Speck brothers (James Remar and James Russo), and gives him the option of helping him hunt down and kill the Brittle Brothers, a ruthless gang of killers whom only Django has seen. In return, Schultz will free Django from slavery completely and help find and rescue Broomhilda from the brutal but charming Francophile Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), who owns Candyland, a plantation where male slaves are trained to fight for sport and female slaves are forced into prostitution. Django agrees, and the two go after Candie and the Brittle gang.

Runtime: 2hr45mins

Open Dec 25, 2012 (But I wouldn't go and see this type of movie on Christmas)

Peanut Butter Granola Bars

Peanut Butter Granola Bars

1 egg white
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
1/3 cup coconut sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted*
2 cups old fashioned oats
1/3 cup miniature chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Spray an 8x8 baking pan and set aside.

Begin melting your stick of butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

While the butter is melting, using a hand beater, beat the egg white until frothy.  Stir in the peanut butter, coconut sugar, and honey.  Add the melted butter and oats.  Stir to combine, then add the chocolate chips.  You want to make sure the butter isn't too hot still to melt the chocolate.

Spread mixture into the prepared pan pressing lightly to form an even layer.  Bake until the edge of the mixture begins to brown, about 15 minutes.  Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 1 hour.  Cut into squares, serve, and enjoy!

Home Made Arby Sauce

Although the beef sandwiches from Arby's would be very hard to duplicate since they are made from specially processed beef hunks, thinly sliced, this fast food chain's barbecue sauce can be cloned easily. Now you can whip up this slightly tangy sauce to put on your own homemade sandwich creations, even barbecued ribs or chicken.

Servings: 1 cup
Ingredients
1 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons water
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco pepper sauce

funnel cake :)

Ingredients:

1 egg
2/3 cup milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Directions:

1. In a deep skillet, heat about two cups of oil over medium-high heat until hot. Test the temperature by dropping a pinch of flour into the hot oil. If it sizzles right away without smoking, it's perfect.

2. Beat egg and milk. Mix all other ingredients in a separate bowl and slowly add to the egg mixture, beating until smooth.

3. Using a funnel, drop into hot oil working from center outwards in a web pattern. (You can use a gallon sized freezer bag instead of a funnel by pouring the batter into the bag, snipping off a small corner of it, and squeezing the batter into the oil.)

4. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, remove from the oil when golden brown and crispy.

5. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.

Campbell's® Skillet Sauce

This is what they look like. I was sent them for free by Bzzagent campaign to try out. I have to say they are not the best thing in the world. A little to salty and blah. Yes its fast and easy to cook but I think I rather spend all day cooking instead of trying these again. Sorry Campbells.

FTR: My reviews may not be all the great and detailed I like getting to the point on either its good or bad. If you don't like it you don't have to read them.
