upside down pizza

*This is an old posting from a long time ago I just never publish.*

So the other day me and James were watching Table for 12 and the mom was making something called Upside down pizza and James said "hey that looks good". So me being a good mommy and wife I google it and made it. It was actually pretty easy to make and now I'm going to share it with you.

1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 medium green bell pepper, coarsely chopped (1 cup)
2 jars (14 oz each) pizza sauce
1 package (6 oz) diced pepperoni
2 cups Original Bisquick® mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1 1/2cups shredded pizza cheese blend (6 oz)

1. Heat oven to 350°F. In 12-inch skillet, cook beef, onion and bell pepper over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain.

2. Stir in pizza sauce, pepperoni and olives; heat until hot. Spoon into ungreased 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish.

3. In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, milk and eggs until blended. Pour evenly over pepperoni mixture.

4. Bake uncovered about 25 minutes or until crust is light brown. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake uncovered about 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
Finished project:
We loved it :D

Sandwich monster

1 package of refrigerated biscuits (8count)
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup of sliced Mushrooms (optional)
2 ounces of pepperoni slices, quartered (about 35 slices)
1/3 cup of pizza sauce
1 egg beaten

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with foil.

2. Separate dough into individual biscuits; Set one aside. Roll out each remaining biscuit into 7-inch circles on a lightly floured surface. Top half of each circle evenly with cheese, mushrooms, pepperoni and sauce, leaving 1/2 inch border. Fold dough over filling to form half moon shape; crimp edges closed with fork. Brush tops with egg.

3.Split remaining biscuit horizontally and cut each half into eight 1/4 inch strips. For each sandwich, roll two strips of dough into spirals to create eyes. Divide remaining twos strips dough into seven pieces to create noses. Arrange eyes along straight edge of each sandwich; place nose between eyes. Brush eyes and nose with egg. Place on prepared baking sheet.

4.Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 3 to 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm with additional pizza sauce.

2 for 1

Yesterday I didn't post anything because the husband had the day off. Since the concert was canceled we saw a movie. A midnight screening of A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas. I thought it was really funny and I thought (Spoiler ahead) the part they made fun of Christmas store Tongue to the pole was the funniest part.. Today was Cookies with Santa at our local mall and it was super crazy and very unorganized. We didn't even get to see Santa and I wasn't about the wait in more lines just to get a over priced picture. Most of you know (if you don't you know now) I coupon and I have to share this great deal I got on pizza yesterday.
I won a free pizza, plus I had enough Papa points for free pizza.. :D
